Hi everyone,
This week was awesome. However, myldsmail is acting up, and we can't log into it, so no pictures this week. The good news is that we have iPads, so we can still email. 😃
The Women's Conference was great. I really loved it. Tammy, who was our investigator, until she moved into the Elders' area, came and really enjoyed it. She is looking forward to General Conference this upcoming weekend.
Scot came to church yesterday! Last week he went to the wrong church. He went to the Baptist church that is close to ours. So that fact that he found the church was a miracle.
Belinda went to Girls' Camp. All of her family are members, but she did want to be baptized when her siblings were here a few months ago. She bore her testimony at Girls' Camp. Now she isn't sure about getting baptized. She knows the church is true, but she has some other concerns. She came to church with her family. #GirlsCampMiracle
It was sad -- a person, who some other Elders found, who lived in our area had a baptismal date. We were going to meet him to start teaching him, but he went to his church and was given some anti-Mormon things there. Now, he doesn't want to meet with us. We want to meet him to try and clear up what is (and isn't) true about the things he heard.
We met someone, who at first wasn't interested, but she let us share a message. As we talked with her, she softened. Summer said she is looking for a church that she feels right at. She asked us to come back, but she didn't know when a good time would be since she currently doesn't live there. She is in the process of getting ready to move in.
Miracle: The best miracle this week was that we got to meet and start teaching Essix. We went to the hospital to see Abeke, who is a member. Another member was there visiting her. At the end of Abeke's lesson, Uraza said she had another friend in the hospital who she wanted us to visit. We said goodbye to Abeke and followed Uraza to Essix's room. We shared a brief lesson of the restoration and, while Sister Fricke shared Joseph Smith's own words, Essix felt the spirit. We visited her one more time while she was in the hospital. She is now out and living at Uraza's place while she recovers. She is confined to her bed, so we explained that she can watch conference on her tablet. She is super cool, and she wants to go to church when she can. I know we were meant to visit Abeke at that time, so Uraza would also be there.
